KD5UDY

Hello! My name is Robert, and I am from Pasadena, TX 1).

Welcome to my humble site where I keep track of everything I encounter that is related to Amateur Radio!

I was granted a Technician class license October 23, 2002, am a member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), and the Clear Lake Area Radio Club (CLARC) and I am currently semi-active on several 2-meter repeaters in the South East Houston/Pasadena/Clear Lake areas.

Broadband over Power Lines (BPL)

The F.C.C., U.S. Congress, and Texas State Congress are all pushing heavily to deploy Broadband (Internet services) over Power Lines (BPL), which causes serious interference with licensed radio services, including Amateur Radio public-service and emergency communications, military and scientific communications and potentially much more.

Encourage legislators to withdraw their support for BPL and protect licensed radio services from such drastic interference!

Learn more about this immediate threat to public-service and emergency radio servces at the ARRL Technical Information Service!
